You are, of course, absolutely right. There's no reason why people should use postings here to meet with each other. Hey, perhaps if a large enough group find they're working close together then it could form into a new Perl Mongers group.

    Hey, perhaps if a large enough group find they're working close together then it could form into a new Perl Mongers group.

    That was actually one of the side-effects I was hoping would happen (but didn't want to preaching about PerlMongers). When I started Hartford.pm, it was a PITA to find local Perl hackers who weren't in my circle of work or LUG friends.
