Hi, try using this MIME::Lite module it's easy to Sending out text mail using sendmail or smtp.

use MIME::Lite;

    $msg = MIME::Lite->new(
                 From    =>'vijay@india.com',
                 To      =>'vijay@yahoo.co.in',                 
                 Subject =>'A message with 2 parts...',
