It's called your home node. You can put whatever description of yourself that you want. I believe dragonchild's home node lists people who are interested in contract work, he may link to you if that's what you're after.

A section such as you propose needs to be well thought out, and it needs to be worth doing. I'll disagree with cchampion that it's a bad idea - but I would say it's probably impractical on two levels: a) you need to be able to delete your own posts (job filled/no longer seeking employment) which PM currently doesn't easily allow, and b) overlaps with other affiliated sites (jobs.perl.org, as already mentioned). More work than necessary, not much gain for the community.

This site best section is perhaps the most neglected by those who are proposing new ones. I am talking about Super Search, where you should go and look for previous discussion on this same topic before coming here proposing some new thing.

So, going though Super Search gives something like this:

• Job Posting Section?
• Perl Job Board
• Jobs
• New jobs section
• Monk to Monk jobs
• Job/Project Postings
• jobs...

That's about five years that somebody asks about a job section on PM. And why we still don't have it? Because it's a bad idea, that's why.

Sure but that's not what the OP asked. You can't post resumes on jobs.perl.org. Though I agree with the general point--this is not a jobs site--I liked Tanktalus's answer below.

Oh, and thanks for the info about jobs.perl.org - I didn't know about it. Since that exists, my suggestion does seem kinda redundant...
