VC++ costs $89. Same with Visual C# and VB.net

    Because I'm lazy...but what are the terms of use for that $89? Can you sell what you make? Also, what do you get? An IDE, or just a compiler suite?

      You get Visual Studio with C# or Visual Studio with C++ or Visual Studio with VB. All are standard editions. The Visual Studio part is the GUI IDE - the most advanced programing IDE on the planet IMHO.

        I have to agree with you there. I've not worked with it directly, but we're becoming an MS shop more and more each day. I've seen what the developers do with it and am impressed. I do worry a bit though that they're not really learning the fine details of the language as a result, though...
