Today its been a year since I joined Perl Monks. I have no idea how I got here, maybe it was from some link on /., what was I doing on the Dec. 23rd 1999? Was I sitting in front of my computer at home, lonely, wondering what I would get my sister for Xmas? Was I just bored out of my mind on a Thursday night? (yes I checked, it was a Thursday)
I have no idea... And although I have come to contribute (aka: post questions, not answers! mind you) less over the past few months, I still feel like I am very much a Perl Monk, even after a year has gone by. I feel this is a community that I truely belong to. I have never felt odd or wierded out by slapping idiotic remarks to the chatterbox. I have learned to use "postincrement" in a phrase... Ex: "Dude! That flick postincrement!" translates to "$_, that flick++!"
I have come to understand RTFM better, and learned how to RTFM better.
Bottom line, I still feel like a Perl Monk. Thank you all. Thank you, vroom
