OSDC 2005 is up and running.

The second Australian OSDC (Open Source Developers' Conference) will be held on the 5th, 6th and 7th of December 2005 at Monash University in Melbourne.

The 2004 Conference, run by Melbourne Perl Mongers, was an outstanding success with over 160 delegates attending, including a significant number from interstate and overseas.

In 2005, OSDC will be even bigger and better.

The conference web site is: here

    G'day!

As a meta-comment, that last line:

The conference web site is: <a href="http://www.osdc.com.au/">here</a>
    reads betters as:
    See <a href="http://www.osdc.com.au/">the conference web site</a> for +details.
Or better yet, omit it entirely, and hyperlink the first appearance (the OSDC 2005 in the first line), and people will know that clicking there does the right thing.

    This serves two purposes:

    1. A bookmark made from the link will already have the right label.
    2. The text will read naturally, without synthetic constructs introduced simply for the purpose of making it webby. (Read your original version out loud to a friend, and you'll spot the unnatural construction.)

      Hello Randal,

      All true enough.

And hopefully my submission will also soon appear here ;-)

P.S. The weather in Melbourne in Decemeber is very nice, and last year's conference was quite a buzz. Those of you in the Northern Hemisphere who are reading this post should seriously consider a trip down south!

My trips down south have to be limited to countries that don't reject my applications to visit. Apparently, Australia has enough felons already. But thanks for the invite. I'll be visiting Brasil more often instead. (Besides, it's a shorter flight {grin}).
