in reply to CPAN ERROR: Invalid variable `mark-symlinked-directories'

This is a know error.

You can safely comment this line out of /etc/inputrc :

mark-symlinked-directories If set to `on', completed names which are symbolic links to direct +ories have a slash appended (subject to the value of mark-directories +). The default is `off'.

Currently it's set to 'ON', is this file used only by CPAN?

If it's 'ON' and I comment it out, does it matter?

Is it okay if I just ignore this error? Would that cause any problems?
