Looks pretty easy to me:
use strict;
use warnings;
use HTML::Calendar::Simple;
my $cal = HTML::Calendar::Simple->new;
$cal->daily_info
({
'day' => 22,
'text' => 'Post an answer to the calendar question on PM.'
});
print join "</tr>\n", split "</tr>", $cal->html;

Post an answer to the calendar question on PM. |

Update: The join/split in the print is not required, it breaks up the output a little though to make it easier to check.
Perl is Huffman encoded by design.
