Shall we meet in the second floor bar on Tuesday night, like we did last year? That won't work, since this year, the conference is happening across the river at the convention center, and there is no "convention hotel". -- Randal L. Well, I've never stayed in any of the hotels nearby, since I happen to live in this town... {grin} Portland.citysearch.com (using our favorite mod_perl site) suggests (in order of distance): Inn at the Convention Center (if I remember, this is hotel from the mid 60s... kinda dumpy) Shilo Inn (rooms have free high-speed net access, and this is a hometown chain... I'd recommend this if the price is fair) Red Lion Inn La Quinta (fairly modern) Marriott Courtyard (standard Marriott style) Radisson Just use your favorite means to search near "777 NE M L King Blvd, Portland, OR". -- Randal L.
