Looks Like I'm going, was curious how many other Monks were also going to OSCON. Would love to meet some of my fellow Perl Monks

Well, you can always meet a lot of us at the annual Stonehenge party. Stop by our booth in the exhibit hall Wednesday to pick up your free T-shirt, which is your admission to the free Party, where you get free Fun, and free Drinks.

If you want, I can look into providing name-ish tags so that you can identify yourself as a monk, etc.

I'll be there. Hopefully there will be a Perlmonks BOF and we can get a chance to meet.

    Cheers,

I am planning to run up from the Bay area, see you all there. Shall we meet in the second floor bar on Tuesday night, like we did last year?

That won't work, since this year, the conference is happening across the river at the convention center, and there is no "convention hotel".

OK, I'll be in early on Sunday afternoon (Gods of the Road willing), and I can start scouting the area. There has to be someplace with liquid dispensation facilities on that side of the river.

No conference hotel? Bummer. Do you have any recommendations about hotels close to the convention center?

I'll be there. In fact I already am. Like the two previous monks who answered this question, I live in Portland. And the monk who asked the question is from southern Oregon. Any non-Oregonads going :-)?

I'll be there - I'm really looking forward to it. Currently I'm here.

    Greetings lvanhout,

I'm going, and I'm forcing... er... "encouraging" my team to attend on the company's dollar. We're using it as a combined educational + morale event, taking the train down from Seattle.

merlyn: I like the name-ish tags for monk identity idea.

Owl looked at him, and wondered whether to push him off the tree; but, feeling that he could always do it afterwards, he tried once more to find out what they were talking about.

whoops - caught this late - bassplayer and myself will be there tomorrow night - weee.

Oh, for those of you with short memories, I still have the pictures from last year's meet up here.

I'm afraid I haven't had the energy to organize a dinner.
