in thread Opera + Firefox browser Shortcut for searching CPAN & Perldoc

Have you tested it?
http://search.cpan.org/perldoc?CGI
redirects to http://search.cpan.org/~lds/CGI.pm-3.07/CGI.pm

http://search.cpan.org/perldoc?Acme::MJD
redirects to http://search.cpan.org/~podmaster/Acme-MJD-0.02/lib/Acme/MJD.pm

MJD says "you can't just make shit up and expect the computer to know what you mean, retardo!"
I run a Win32 PPM repository for perl 5.6.x and 5.8.x -- I take requests (README).

    Have you tested it?
    Yes. I have.
    In that case a modification need to be made for dbwiz's snippet (note the removed '=' sign):
    URL=http://search.cpan.org/perldoc?%s
    Then it'll work. Thanks for notifiying, PodMaster.

    Contrary to the search form at http://search.cpan.org, the redirection above appears to be case sensitive. E.g.

    http://search.cpan.org/perldoc?cgi
    fails.
