I worked at a porn company for 5 years. Pay was great, and all the software I wrote was unique, i.e. I was doing things for the first time every time I wrote something. I was exposed to porn regularly, since I was in charge of the content management system and cc processing, and since it is by definition a scandalous industry, there is a lot of scandal and impropriety in the industry. I developed moral problems with the company, and that is why I left. It was no longer setting me at ease to know that I'm creating cool technology, the attitudes of the industry really started to bother me. Oh, and how did I describe my job to my grandparents?
