All of this configurations could be automatic! What I say is that it can be better, and the bugs that I have pointed doesn't exists in all OS and networks, but they are there and need to be fixed!

    You missed my point, it seems. So, let me be absolutely clear.

    1. CPAN.pm is maintained by volunteers, and anyone (even you) can help do this.
    2. So, stop whining about it and fix it, if you think it needs fixing.
