XMLRPC problems: Denied access to method

moxliukas has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello, dear monks,

I am trying to set up a simple XMLRPC server via CGI using SOAP::Lite module. However, even the examples in the module distribution seem to fail -- I get "Denied access to method (whichToolkit) in class (main) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/SOAP/Lite.pm line 2267." error when using this example. "Class (main)" part worries me a bit, but I am not sure which path to take to resolve the problem. Could anyone provide me any directions?

While I am at it and if this module doesn't work out -- are there any other modules for serving simple XMLRPC over CGI?

I got SOAP-Lite-0.60 and it works for me :|

UPDATE: Or rather I should say, XMLRPC::Test is able to connect and do its thing, even though there are some not oks (which is to be expected).

I suggest you try xmlrpc.daemon and see if it works.

    I run a Win32 PPM repository for perl 5.6.x and 5.8.x -- I take requests (README).
