I've been working on plans for a "better perldoc" for a while now, so if you're going to work something I'd appreciate being contacted, so at least we can not duplicate mistakes. I've also got, at least for a while, a dedicated server I can use to host it.

Should we start a mailing list and get down to brass tacks?

Being right, does not endow the right to be rude; politeness costs nothing.
Being unknowing, is not the same as being stupid.
Expressing a contrary opinion, whether to the individual or the group, is more often a sign of deeper thought than of cantankerous belligerence.
Do not mistake your goals as the only goals; your opinion as the only opinion; your confidence as correctness. Saying you know better is not the same as explaining you know better.

I'm not a big fan of mailing lists, but I suppose something like that should be arranged.
