Updated:I was able to track this problem down, and it was caused by a bad binary module distribution on Theory. I downloaded the CPAN source and built it out on Win2K/AS 5.8.3.809/Tk 804.027 using MS Visual Studio and it built and installed w/o a hitch and all the demos worked 4.0. I contacted Randy Kobes and he said he would upload a new version. The lesson for me here is that you can't assume that just because the module is on a PPM site that it actually works I guess... ack! Also, Tcl is NOT required as Eserte stated. Thank you Eserte. JamesNC
