It's really a simple request; it would make things immediately clear about what one can do with code. I'd like to modify cbhistory, for example, to create a permanent, searchable log of the CB, but I have to wait for an answer to see what the code license is.¹ If the CC submission page had an obligatory license field, then people wishing to use future submissions wouldn't have this problem.
