*yawn* If the registry entries were not created, then you did not run Installer.bat,
so you can't say you installed it.
I speak from personal experience, it's the exact same perl, except its Installer.bat who creates the registry entries and copies the files ... i'm running ActivePerl 5.8.4 right now, that I installed from the .zip via Installer.bat
