works perfectly: 

[1158]tom@margo scratch $ perl -e 'my $lf = (sort(<*>))[-1]; print $lf
+, "\n";'
zoom?id=aaaaaaaaaaaawax

[download]
zoom... is (a file wget produced and) the last element in the sorted list.
