I totally agree. I have had an uphill battle at my POB ( Place of Business ) because our "professional developers" only know Java and I, a lowly computer analyst, am the only Perl advocate. I have always tried my absolute best to write the tightest, most efficient code possible. People who write crap code on purpose should be slapped for the sake of the rest of us.
