In other words, if it ain't a problem, don't fix it!
A very dangerous statement, IMHO. It may be not a problem *YET*, but can turn into a problem later. I agree with you that he should know why the problem happens, but even if he can't he should correct it. This way he can produce a more "secure", "risk-free" code. Just my 2 cents. Regards,
