Hmmmm. When one computes the size of a program, does one also count the number of lines in the included modules?
I don't write many programs over 500 lines, but most of them use CGI and DBI (not to mention SQL) and are designed to provide quick, specific data extracted from a relational database. Perl is extremely well qualified to take the hash returned by the db handler and format it for the World Wide Web. But then I'm preaching to the choir, aren't I? -----
