zakzebrowski has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi All,
I have been writing code to select from a mysql database on cygwin, and I've been getting the following error messages:
Bad free() ignored (PERL_CORE) at line 43. Bad free() ignored (PERL_CORE) at line 43. Signal 11

This is on a line that simply calls the $sth->execute($var1,$var2) of an insert statement. I think it's something to do with the mysql client binary, because I am using the same code (in selecting from mysql and inserting into a Sqlite database. Note, cygwin only has perl version 5.8.2 NOT 5.8.3 , because that's the latest version available for cygwin. Any ideas? The only reference I found was a google groups article, which no one replied to. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm running into the same problem selecting from a SQLite database on Cygwin using 5.8.2 as well.
