<p>
I use tables for tabular data. I use CSS for all other formatting. I really recommend [http://www.zeldman.com/dwws/|Jeffrey Zeldman's book] to get you started. I am even writing a [http://www.allolex.net/reviews/zeldman2003.shtml|review] of it. My site is all CSS and XHTML.

<p>
The two main advantages of using CSS are maintainabilty through good structure and efficiency when it becomes necessary to make formatting changes to your site.
