-- to you... Not so much for giving an inferior solution (which you did), but because you obviously didn't do the least bit of research to see if this has already been covered. If you had, you probably would have discovered that it is answered in the Perl FAQ: How can I extract just the unique elements of an array?. You might also have found this entry in the Q&A section: How can I display a unique array if it contains some repeated elements.
