Not perfect, by any means, but the muse was on me:
Much have I travelled in the realms of code, And many froody sites and systems seen; For long years only BASIC kept me keen, As I have mentioned in another node. Oft of one fine language hackers crowed, Which good saint Larry ruled as his demesne; Yet never did I grok what it might mean Till I heard wisdom which from merlyn flowed: Then felt I like some sage of magic Art When some strange spell-book comes into his hand; Or like Buzz Aldrin, when with pounding heart He walked upon Selene - and every land Watched those explorers' daring start Silent, upon a distant lunar strand. Tiefling, with apologies to John Keats, and to Randal's co-authors, whose names didn't fit.
