My case study for the GUI:
wxWidgets 2.8.7, wxPerl 0.81, and Perl/tk 804.027, they all fail to compile under Apple OS 10.4.11 with Perl 5.10.0, being a hot dish served in cold silence.
I am going back to perl 5.8.6, sorry...

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
