Obviously you are a nice guy and you reason.

To be totally truthful with everyone, the real issue is not me. I don't bash perl or insult anyone's work, but I am not the first one or the last one to point out the facts and truth: perl's current downward status and perl 6's danger to become vaporware are real.

It is not just here on this forum, it is online everywhere that every time you tell the truth, some perl guy will jump on you and beat you to death. They call you idiot, they call you everything that one can imagine. Oh my god!

Not every perl guy like this though. I am a perl guy myself, although I am also a java guy, a c# guy, a python guy, a lisp guy... You are also a reasonable and nice perl guy!

Perl 6 belongs to everyone as far as I know, not just those perl 6 guys. As a public affair, everyone of the general public has the right and obligation to comment. Although I am fully aware of the consequence of being called all sorts of names.

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
