chromatic suggested that notes be ordered by reputation. What does everyone think about that. I've implemented that for responses in the Categorized Questions and Answers section. The answers with the highest reputation will show up at the top of the list. Right now Anonymous Monk's writeups can't be voted on so those writeups will always have a reputation of 0. Do people like the idea of ordering notes that way as well. If people reply to the note or node they are actually replying to notes should still be threaded correctly and the responses should make sense. The only problem is that you no longer can tell which order nodes were added easily. I suppose we could make note ordering configureable, I mean that's what the Everything Engine is all about but I'd like to hear all of your thoughts.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
