Would you mind using a regex?

print "$1 $2 $3 $4 '$5' $6 $7 $8 $9 $10 $11 $12 $13 $14\n";
}
}
puts nice single quotes around the name and you can access every field as well. You might even assign it to a list of variables.

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
