Fellow Monks,

I'd just like to mention to anyone who hasn't seen Miyagawa-san's post on use Perl; that registration is now open for YAPC::Asia which will be held April 4-5, 2007 in Tokyo. Last year's was great so hope to see some monks here! Tickets get sold out *real* fast so run don't walk in case you want an excuse to visit Tokyo. The registration for Japanese participants opened this morning.

With luck you will be there for cherry blossom season! (usually end of March - beginning of April).

(Fabulous) Speakers list: Audrey Tang, Mark Jason Dominus, Jesse Vincent, Ben Trott, Brad Fitzpatrick, Chia-liang Kao, Ingy döt Net, Dave Rolsky, Jeff Kim, Jonathan Rockway, José Alves de Castro, Kang-min Liu, Dan Kogai, Daisuke Maki, Atsushi Kobayashi, Emerson Mills, Naoya Ito, Gosuke Miyashita, Kazuho Oku, Kenichi Ishigaki, Marty Pauley, Tatsuhiko Miyagawa, Tokuhiro Matsuno, Kei-ichi Daiba, Kazuhiro Osawa, Yoshinori Takesako

Hope to see you there!

Matt R.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
