( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

I've done simiar things in the past. Sometimes resulting in injury to myself and/or objects around me.

However, there have been a few reports recently on something called Intermittent Explosive Disorder, which is an abnormally violent reaction to something. (I view it as the 'straw that broke the camel's back' type situation, but I find that getting some exercise and other stress reducing techniques (besides breaking things), have helped me reduce the incidence of these events.)

Oh -- and I know some folks who get together on the day before father's day, and go shooting at a farm, so I can bring my own targets -- shooting at computer keyboards is particularly fun (but make sure to put it back far enough so that someone doesn't strip 1/2 the keys off w/ a shotgun)

ps. who gets to define 'abnormally'. If enough people are doing it, isn't it normal?

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
