As a module author, I would love to receive a testcase like that. While it's admirable that you want to make it even smaller, that may be the minimal testcase for this bug. I'd submit it to the author as it stands.
My criteria for good software:
- Does it work?
- Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?

<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
