I wonder why no one told this
The first weeks are critical for both you and the company. Mistakes are to be made, and are not critical. Stay yourself, and try to find out if you fit in the company, as the company tries to find out if you fit in it. This works in both ways. Just don't try to create more expectations than you can deliver in the end, this is not good for you, and not for the company.
