The YAPC::Europe committee are pleased to announce the formation of an official organisation responsible for the encouragement of Perl Conferences in Europe.

Founded in the Netherlands, the current board also has members from England, Germany and France. Adhoc committee members will be co-opted from relevant countries based on experience, usefulness, (and a certain willingness to do all the work :)

The current committee consists of the following worthies;
Norbert Gruener
Ann Barcomb
Philippe Bruhat
David Lacravate
Nicholas Clark
Richard Foley

The aim is to provide a focal point, organise on-line registration, mailing lists, technical and conference advice and to generally support activities encouraging Perl Conferences and Workshops in Europe.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
