Very little actually gets registered. You have to be aware
of the process and request the namespace. Then somebody has
to notice it, care enough to do something about it, and then
it seems only certain types of things which can be
pigeonholed into the classical taxonomy get registered.
Why then should one volunteer's work be slaughtered at some
future date because another volunteer never got around to
sanctifying it?

<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
