Yes, you're right. I should have tested it out before making that claim. :) I still prefer lexically-scoped filehandles whenever possible, but thanks for pointing out my mistake.

tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be

have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
