Fellow Perlers,
I have created the following sub that uses CGI ':standard' coding.
The sub is called several times during the program.
When the program runs, each display is being tacked onto the bottom of the previous. Is there any way to clear the browser screen so that each sub run prints to a clean screen?
sub screenDisplay {
my ( $thread, $status ) = @_;
print header,
start_html('Distributed Search Progress'),
h1('Search in progress ... Please wait.'),
$progress[$status], "Thread: $thread\n",
hr,
end_html;
}

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
