( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Greetings Lori713 and Welcome! I see (in the beginning of your post) that you are looking for books related to Perl, Java, HTML, etc. Somewhere in my digging around I found these links to a veritable compilation of books related to what you were looking for:

www.perl-books.com
www.javascript-books.com

I thought that I would bring these to the forefront so that you could have easy access to them.

I am also partial to the O'Reilly "Animal Books" I have found everyone of their books that I have encountered to be quite useful so here is their main link:

www.oreilly.com

Also... Take a look at Book Reviews and see what Perl Monks have to say about Perl related books.

Anyway good luck... I am certain that you will find your fellow Perl Monks to be a great resource! I know I have!

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
