In writing a recent response, I found myself forgetting the short-cut form for linking to a particular type of information. Although I found the method by going back and looking at my favorites, the incident made me wonder, and so I ask for the wisdom of the body monktorate in the following question:
Would it be worth-while to add a link to What shortcuts can I use for linking to other information? in Writeup Formatting Tips?
(It should be noted that I am willing to propose it, if the body feels the proposal has merit, but that I am not one of those having the responsibility and wisdom to actually implement the change.)

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
