EXAMPLE
I need to convert the csv file into a fixed width file with a data dictionary. The data dictionary must specify the length of each field but I do not know the maximum size on the inbound csv file. I also need to assign a type but I am ok with changing that manually once I have a reasonable data dictionary.
I attempted to play with excel but it fell over from the file depth.
Thanks!!! for your help!

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
