Just a quick blast-from-the-past for anyone who owned a C64 and was on Compunet (long before this new-fangled academic Berners-Lee nonsense - harumph), when Xyzz nicks were all the rage. Tony Crowther was Ratt, Rob Hubbard was Robb, there was Bogg, Jonn etc...I just added an extra 'n' to my real name and it's been stuck there for over 20 years. A promise of a ++ goes to anyone who's still got the *original* Ratt+Benn demo :)
cheers, Ben(n).
PS. Hey - what a great node! ++George

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
