Monks ~
I've hit on one of those wonderful issues that you can only learn when it's too late -- when using LWP::UserAgent to validate the existance of a file before creating a link to it, it will read the entire file into memory. When the files are huge, they are running me out of system memory.
I've attempted to set the following:
my $ua = LWP::UserAgent->new(env_proxy =>1,
max_size => 100,
);
I don't appear to be having any success. Advice would be appreciated.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
