There are procedures in place for dealing with problems like this.
I believe there are, but are they documented anywhere? (if it's not documented, how can authors know)
BTW, i'd like to point out that PAUSE has a permission scheme when it comes to modules.
PAUSE authors should check out
View Permissions
and
Change Permissions.
I'm not sure if demerphqs new upload will show up as the new version of MIME::Lite, given that the original author has not changed permissions (you can get demerphqs uploads here, but will they show up here).
MJD says you
can't just make shit up and expect the computer to know what you mean, retardo!
I run a Win32 PPM
repository for perl 5.6x+5.8x. I take requests.

Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
