( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
I understand that the reason for not allowing "approved" posts to change is sound, as it keeps people from getting something to the frontpage then changing it to a giant flame, however I want to change my post, and it's already approved, so I cannot do so. I thought I would ask the opinion of the other monks, and of our leader, vroom, can you put in some logic that checks the level of the monk in question, and if said monk is level X or above, allows him or her to alter their frontpage nodes?
Do the other monks think of this as something that is a worthy addition to the monestary?
I posed this question in the perlmonks channel, and, there was some very interesting discussion - I hope that this post spawns some discussion as well.

Regards,
spectre

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
