( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

I actually specifically chose/designed my handle a long time ago to be as useful as possible while still reflecting some small spark of personality.

My given name is Gregory, and I when asked if I prefer Greg or Gregory I usually - just to be a pain - say 'Gregor'. Though my mother never called me by that variant. (Dad has started to recently ;-} )

The 42 is a reference to the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy ..ahem...trilogy...

And the point is that I use the same handle on ever site I go to - and usually find it wide open. Furthermore I acquired www.gregor42.com and use gregor42@mail.com so as to make me easily accessible to anyone willing to look.

Of course, now that I've ranted about this I'm forced to think of a Dennis Hopper quote from the film Search & Destroy : "Just because it happened to you, doesn't mean it's interesting."

Wait! This isn't a Parachute, this is a Backpack!

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
