( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Phew was it there stuff to read... however I have noted one post in particular which tells that the community is simply divided by which technique is better... and I sincerely could still not determine what fits best the common practice.

Point is: I don't have experience on the subject, so I was interested in Monk's opinions to make up my mind before doing serious coding.

As of now, I prefer inline code... most simply because I dont have still understood (nor found) practical examples of WHY templating IS better.

To maybe enrich the concept some more... suppose that the templates need not be modified once the APP is deployed... wouldn't it be an unworthy effort to code for such use and open a vulnerability in the application?

Many thanks everybody

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
