You know perl has made it when a review of Llama II is a featured article on AVNonline... the adult video news website for pornography webmasters :) In Anna Cahnda's review of Learning Perl, IIIrd edition, they compare and contrast it to previous editions, as well as just praise perl in general. With quotes such as: Although it began as a lowly tool for Unix system administrators, Perl has become a robust, full-featured programming language used for Web programming, database manipulation, and XML processing. It's good to know that at least the adult industry appreciates perl... hm... pornographers and monks, I wonder when the last time those two social orders were hand in hand in agreement :)

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
