It's sometimes such a shame that you can only vote once on a node. This was one of the most entertaining nodes that I've seen here :) Excellent idea, George_Sherston++!
jazz (jąz) noun
  1. Music. a. A style of music, native to America, characterized by a strong but flexible rhythmic understructure with solo and ensemble improvisations on basic tunes and chord patterns and, more recently, a highly sophisticated harmonic idiom. b. Big band dance music.
  2. Slang. a. Animation; enthusiasm. b. Nonsense. c. Miscellaneous, unspecified things

Actually, my middle name is Jasmine, and of course, that was already registered. Everyone calls me Jazz anyway, so it suited.

The slang definition suits me better, but it's probably novel to have just bought a bass to see if Jazz can learn to play jazz :)

Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
