banning someone because he is spreading wrong solutions/advice etc. it is valid in my own opinion and could be exercised perhaps with a vote. Protecting PM's standing is legitimate.

Re: Can I please have multiple downvotes per (certain monk's) posts.

The gods are free to excommunicate me at any time. (My only demand is that they must at the same time purge 100% of my posts and comments from the database.) Believe it or not, I have far better uses for my time.

Re: Feature: Auto hide. Change: show node vote counts to all, not just logged in users.

I would much rather see you simply excommunicate me, and delete 100% of my posts, than to do something (like this) which could be permanently harmful to PerlMonks. This site is much more important than me.

Re^4: RFC: Placeholder creation for SQL statements

if this site will but have the good graces to excommunicate me and to delete every one of the many thousands of posts I have made here, then I will never set foot upon this part of this digital planet again

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
